Day of the event registration at 5:00am and closed 30 minutes before respective races.

How do I register for the Dream Mile?

Can I register/pay on the day of the event?
Yes, it is possible to pay on the day of the event. However, we prefer if participants pre-register, since that will give us an idea of the expected number of participants.

Is the registration money refundable?
We are unable to issue refunds in case you cannot turn in for the race or if the race gets canceled because of weather condition.

THE WALK/RUN:

How does The Dream Mile 5K/10K work?
Runners of all ages can participate in 5K/10K competitive race. No registration fee for Children below age 12 but they must come with parents. 2K Fun walk is not a competitive walk. The Dream Mile 5k/10K is a full-fledged race. However this is not a certified race.

What do the participants get?
All participants who complete the race will get a certificate and a medal. Winners in each category will receive a prize.

How long are the courses?
The 10K course is 6.2 miles, the 5K course is 3.1 miles, and the 2K is 1.15 miles.
5K/10K race are competitive.

How will I be timed?
The 10K/5K run uses a timing chip to time the event.

How will I receive my results?
Official results will be posted on the Web site on race day. Upon request we can provide your timing through email.

What if I need help along the way?
There will be volunteers along the race course to assist runners who need emergency helps.

Can my child bring their scooters/skateboards?
Yes in the 2K fun walk you can push a baby stroller or your kids can bring their scooter/skateboards.We do not allow baby strollers, stakeboards or scooters on the 5K, 10K  run course.

Can I participate in the 10K, 5K or 2K walk with my dog or pet?
The safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets in the walk or run.

Can my kids participate?
Yes. Given that Vibha’s vision is to provide a brighter future for underprivileged children, it makes perfect sense to get your children involved. However, parental discretion is advised for distances. All kids above 12 years can participate in the 5K or 10K race. Kids of all ages can participate in the 2K Fun Walk.

Can I wear headphones while running?
Part of the running course includes street roads so if participants have headphones on, they would not be able to respond promptly to an emergency vehicle or miss specific race instructions.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
Unless the weather conditions threaten the safety of participants, the race is on, rain or shine.

What will be provided after the race?
Refreshments will be offered free to all participants that includes breakfast items.

CORPORATE RELAY

What’s better than running 21.1 KMS through Whitefield? Sharing the miles with friends! Get a team of four to run Vibha’s 21.1 km Half Marathon Relay. We have attractive prizes for the teams.

Teams in this category are comprised of employees from the same company. The goal of the “CORPORATE CHALLENGE" team is to create opportunities for employees to run together with fellow employees for a community goal. Anyone can captain a team; team members are required to be currently employed by the company or corporation.

Team captains must notify their company or corporation of their intention to participate in this event. It is up to each team captain and team member to be sure they are in compliance with their corporation's particular rules and regulations concerning fundraising.

HOW DOES THE RELAY WORK?

  • Who can Participate: Employees of a Private Corporate or Government office.
  • Pick a captain to register your team
  • Register online (you don’t have to know all 4 runners when you register your team).
  • Each team has 4 runners; (at least ONE-woman runner should be there)
  • Each runner runs 5.25 kms per loop. ALL RUNNERS RUN TOGETHER.
  • Race distance is 5.25 kms for each runner with a total of 21.1 km/team.
  • Registration fee per team is Rs. 3,000 only. Each runner will pay Rs. 750.

Enrolments are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please remember, applications are not considered to be complete until all the required information has been received and approved by the organizing committee.

FAMILY RUN

What’s better than running and promoting a healthy lifestyle in your family.

Registrations Allowed for Families Only. This race is first of its kind where 2 members of a Family run together to the finish line sharing a common BIB. We are promoting this race so that Families create a healthy fun lifestyle together and SET AN EXAMPLE for your kids. Run with a sibling, spouse, or parent.

HOW DOES THE RUN WORK?

  • Who can Participate: An 2 members of a family, where at least 1 member of the team is under 15 years of age. The following can form a team:
    • 2 siblings under 15 yrs
    • 1 parent and 1 child under 15 yrs
    • Cousins do not form a family team.
  • Register online
  • Both runners will run 5 km together.
  • The runners are expected to run together and finish together.
    • In case the 2 runners separate, the slower of the 2 will be considered for finish time.
  • Race distance is 5 kms for each runner with a total of 10 km/team
  • Registration fee per team is Rs. 800 only.

What is Vibha?
Vibha is a non-profit organization that seeks to restore to underprivileged children their basic right to food, shelter, health and education - in short - a future.

What does Vibha do?
Vibha supports various projects in India and US working for the upliftment of underprivileged children. The volunteers of Bangalore action center donate their time and skills to raise awareness in the community about children's issues and to generate funds for child development projects in India and US.
